Cooking Dinner not the typical

Typically when your husband/wife comes home he/she wants dinner on the stove/table. That way they can eat and relax from a hard day at work right?

Not in my case, last night my husband come home from work. (Of course, I’ve been home chasing after a 2.5 year old and a 1.5 your old all day.) All stay at home mothers know it is tiresome, day after day. Needless to say he didn’t have dinner waiting for him when he arrived. So, due to not having the money to order out delivery, I let the hubby relax for a couple of minutes and asked him to help cook dinner. Of course, the kind man he is he said “Yes”. I was making black beans on rice with baked lime chicken. He asked what I needed help with? At the moment, I only needed a pot washed…..Like most men, he washed the pot and returned back to the tv and his phone to finish relaxing after a hard day at work. Thanks for the help cooking dinner.

Furthermore, I cooked dinner all by myself. Did the clean up, took care the the kids night stuff and laid them down. Typical night of the stay of home mom. Lmao, the whole moral of the story is that you can’t get that magazine/social media/networking “relationship goals” that society wants you to believe is normal. That’s a fairytale and I don’t know about anyone else, but that’s just not how this generation works now a days.

Until next time…….
